Privacy policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. Who we are
ShopIA Tools (shopiatools.com) is a free platform of AI tools and utilities for online sellers. We operate from Spain and comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish data-protection laws (LOPD-GDD, LSSI-CE).
For any privacy-related matter, please write to privacidad@shopiatools.com.
2. What data we collect
2.1. Web analytics (Plausible)
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting platform that does not set cookies and does not collect personal identifiers. Data is processed inside the European Union and consists of aggregated, anonymous statistics (pageviews, generic browser/OS, country). It is not possible to identify an individual user.
2.2. Forms and newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your name and email in MailerLite (an email-marketing provider operating under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). We use those details solely to send you:
- The downloadable resource you requested (for example, the "1,000 prompts" pack).
- Weekly newsletters on e-commerce strategy, new tools and project updates.
You can unsubscribe with a single click from the footer of any email.
2.3. AI assistant (chatbot)
When you talk to the ShopIA chat, your message is sent to our proxy at api.shopiatools.com, which forwards it to the underlying AI model. We do not store conversation logs linked to identifiable users. The conversation lives only in your browser (session memory) and is discarded when you close the tab.
2.4. Client-side utilities
The utilities at /utilidades.html and /tools/ run all calculations entirely in your browser. The data you enter (prices, costs, text, etc.) is never sent to any server. Some of them save preferences locally in localStorage/sessionStorage.
2.5. Advertising
We display ads from the a-ads.com network, a crypto ad network that does not use tracking cookies and does not profile users.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Newsletter and downloadable resources: explicit consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), given when you submit the form.
- Anonymous analytics: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) in improving the service, with no impact on your rights since the data is non-personal.
- AI assistant and utilities: performance of the service you request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
4. Data retention
Newsletter data is kept while your subscription is active and until you request its deletion. Aggregated analytics (Plausible) are kept indefinitely as they are anonymous. AI-assistant conversations are not stored.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. We share it only with the providers strictly necessary to operate the service:
- MailerLite (newsletter delivery)
- Cloudflare / GitHub Pages (static site hosting)
- Hetzner / Oracle Cloud (AI assistant proxy, EU-based)
- Plausible (anonymous analytics, EU-based)
6. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Have it rectified if it is inaccurate.
- Request its erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict its processing.
- Data portability: receive your data in a structured format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (the lead authority for our service).
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacidad@shopiatools.com.
7. Cookies
Detailed information about the cookies we use is in our Cookies policy (Spanish).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the services we use or applicable regulations. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last revised. If changes are substantial we will notify subscribers by email.
9. Note for Amazon Seller Central / Amazon Brand Registry
If you reached this page via a verification request from Amazon Seller Central or Amazon Brand Registry: ShopIA does not use, sell or share Amazon Selling Partner data. The ShopIA tools that mention Amazon (listings, FBA calculator, Amazon Analytics) operate exclusively on data the user enters or on public marketplace data, never on data obtained via the Selling Partner API.
